Duofil 110V 40W/40W Dual Filament Lamp

Thanks to Lucas for the eBay link for this..! It's an amazing concept that obviously didn't catch on, not for too long, anyway. I make no apologies for the number of images here, I had to get good shots of the packaging design, it just screams 1930's..!
Does anyone have any information on the manufacturer..? I've never heard of the British Electryde Corporation Ltd..! There is no date code that I can see, either.
