Working on a Z8896
Recently I had the privilege of working on an old mercury lantern: a GEC Z8896. A clear bowl and decent lamp condition provide a good white light. Unfortunately, cameras tend to show mercury lamps with this green tinge as if they're almost EOL. Take it from me, this is not how it looked in person! The lamp in question is a Venture 80W MBFU. A classic British fixture in great condition!
