Lower Concourse at Gants Hill Underground Station
|
The impressive lower concourse at the foot of the escalators at Gants Hill station on the Central Line of the London Underground. It is the easternmost station on the entire system to be fully below ground, and it's also the busiest station on the Hainault loop. I grew up in this area, and often used this station, which I believe was modelled on the Moscow system.
The lights along the edges are T12 fluorescents, the uplighter columns seem to be a mixture of HPS and MH or MV, but I'm not sure, maybe someone can confirm this.
