Router & Fibre ONT
|
We had our broadband upgraded to full fibre last year. Here are pictures of the router (AVM Fritz!Boz 7530 AX) and the ONT (Optical Network Terminal) box that converts the signal to and from the Ethernet connection on the router (the red cable) and the fibre itself (the white one). We're getting a really good speed of 900 Mbps up and down now, although it does sometimes slow down a bit when we use a VPN. I suppose that's to be expected, but it's still a LOT faster than we were getting before..! Yeah I know the router has a weird name but hey, it's German..! It works well, I've used their range for years and when I found our prospective ISP supplied them, it was a major incentive to switch..!

We can certainly live with that.!
