Hope you don't mind me being picky, but the base's correct designation is B22d-3 Mercury Vapour Lamp

Be as picky as you like Razz I didn't know the correct designation. I thought B22 was 2-pin, so B23 must be 3-pin!

B22 means bayonet 22mm diameter. The d means double (two) electrical contacts and the -3 is added to give the 3 locating pin info. A normal BC cap is B22d.
