My oldest tools
|
These are my two oldest tools, but I really only use that drill thing at the top.
It consists of a spiraled square rod that is free to rotate relative to the handle. By sliding the middle wooden piece upside down, the drill but held by the tip is made to rotate back and forth. A drill bit this small would last all of two seconds in my hand drill, which is why I use this thing. Mostly just use it for PCB stuff and the occasional pilot hole. Not sure if it's actually that old but it certainly looks it.
The wrench below is quite old, and interestingly the nut at the bottom of the handle is left hand threaded. But that's all that holds everything together, which made it very easy to clean. I don't really use it but it looks cool.
