Eddie (The Beast II)

Our old printer (Samsung CLX-6260FW, aka 'The Beast') gave up the ghost recently. All of a sudden it started printing very faint, although there was plenty of toner left. We called an engineer who looked at it and said it didn't need cleaning or anything, and he suspected the drum wasn't picking up toner due to the high voltage charge not being as high as it ought to be, which suggested a faulty circuit board somewhere.

As repair would not really be cost effective, we decided that it was time for a new machine, so here is a Brother MFC-L8690CDW, which we have named Eddie, in tribute to my brother Eddie who passed away last year. We also bought two additional paper trays to increase capacity and to allow for different types of paper. So far, it's been fine, although there is a problem getting it to scan to our network drives, not quite sure what the problem is there, but hopefully it will be sorted soon. It will scan to a desktop PC though, so we at least have a workaround.
