Or possibly from outside number 17.?
AgentHalogen_87   [Fri 19 Jul 2024 at 18:07]
That's not the house number, it's the unit number. There's no column for a number Wink

I stand corrected... Embarrassed

That wiring has seen better days Wink

These are nice and well built luminaires...got a few myself.

Ria - Plain twin + earth outside for 40 years with the weather and house paint bating at it isn't the best combo. I have since replaced the wiring with flex.

BT25 - They are tanks. Proper quality Smile

I thought you might..! That reminds me, I must get a new drum of decent quality flex, also some tri-rated single core for our ballast boards.

For info, if you put the @ sign before someone's username like this @AgentHalogen_87 then they'll get a pop-up notification that they've been mentioned, which as the email notifications for the gallery aren't working properly, is better than nothing.

I have one of these running a 100w MV lamp in the backyard. Pretty well built and nice and bright.

@Ria - Thank you, I'll keep that in mind. Smile

@347vPowerlite - Interesting, I don't think we ever got 100W over here. We had 80 and 125, which these were offered in and this one was originally. Dependable fixtures, these Smile

Yup! Mines from the 70s and still going strong. I believe 175w MV was the other MV option available here along with 70w HPS and 200w incandescent.

There were two revisions of these as well, the older ones had a inset button latch on the top while the newer ones used a external screw latch. Probably more reliable but the inset latch looked a lot cleaner.

We had SON 50 and 70, MBF 80 and 125 (I think even the lil diddy 50W merc was available), and GLS 60, 100, 150, and 200.

This is the Mk.1 with the button, I have mainly worked on the Mk.IIs with the two clips though. I agree Mk.I looks better. We also had the option to have the vandal guard cage over the glass.
