Vintage gear
found in a wooden pole box was this absolute pristine example of a BLI leak transformer rated for the first gen SOX, SO/H and SOI lamps. It dates to between 1964 and 1967. here used to be aP42 2-part cell before the SS55 was fitted, but there is no capacitor. I could guess that the capacitor was in place of the P42 cell if there used to be a 5th core feed for the unit, or it was in place of the cut-out if there were ceramic fuses previously. Still, this is in stunning condition for its age!

A good old gear box, strange there is no PFC capacitor, though Wonder

Probably removed to fit the 2part cell. I'm guessing old 5th core feed

Interesting that the control has been updated.
