It is unusual in that it runs the lamp on DC, and rather alarmingly the open circuit voltage is [color=red][b]1500V..!![/b][/color] It came from a seller on US eBay at a good price, and it appears to be magnetic, it's certainly heavy enough 😄

Here is a ballast for the GE 32W MXR32 Halarc Lamp. It is unusual in that it runs the lamp on DC, and rather alarmingly the open circuit voltage is 1500V..!! It came from a seller on US eBay at a good price, and it appears to be magnetic, it's certainly heavy enough 😄
