Philips WW2 German Blackout Lamp Here is a German blackout lamp from WW2. It is interesting in that the wrapper and the lamp seem to be from different periods, I'm hoping someone can clear up my confusion. The lamp is, I presume, from the war years, but the Philips logo on the wrapper seems to be from an earlier period..? The cap is made from steel, as it is magnetic. I'm assuming that they were using up old packaging to economise on the use of paper. Confused
