Siemens-Ediswan 'Sieray' 240V 500W MAT/V Lamp Here is a lamp I never thought I would find. It's a Siemens-Ediswan 'Sieray' 240V 500W MAT/V lamp and it looks almost new, although I know it has been lit once or twice. We'll be lighting it for some photos and then mounting it in a display case, so photos of that to follow. Siemens-Ediswan 'Sieray' 240V 500W MAT/V Lamp


Here is a lamp I never thought I would find. It's a Siemens-Ediswan 'Sieray' 240V 500W MAT/V lamp and it looks almost new, although I know it has been lit once or twice. We'll be lighting it for some photos and then mounting it in a display case, so photos of that to follow.

Quite the museum piece here, especially in such a clean state of preservation! Congratulation on your last addition! As for the manufacturing date, I'd say November 1957 due to the Siemens-Ediswan brand, which could not have existed before AEI acquired Siemens Bros in 1957 (the Edison & Swan United Electric Light Company was acquired by AEI in 1929). The Ediswan brand was eventually dropped at the end of the 1950s, so it cannot be 1965, the next iteration in the British ELMA code system.

Yes, it's practically NOS. Sadly we don't have the wrapper, but that's the case for a lot of lamps these days Sad bulb icon
