Back to former glory
This is a childhood lantern of mine. It was outside my local leisure centre where I used to go swimming, I saw it all the time and yet in all the years, I only saw it lit once, glowing a dull green. That was about 15 years ago, but I have it on good authority that it worked as late as 2019. Here it is fully cleaned and positioned on a short post for a quick run up after dark. Despite being on its original 1988 lamp it was actually still mostly white in person. It's a very strange lantern. Square isn't the usual order of things, but I absolutely love this thing; I'm so glad I managed to save it!
