Sylvania LU50
I got this from a older Rona Store in Montreal. Surprisingly they had quite a few HID lamps for sale.

There's a little backstory behind this lamp, I first saw it back in 2014 (picture of shelf from 2014) and thought it was neat but didn't buy it. I was recently in Montreal again and I remembered the Rona store with a wide assortment of HID lamps and decided to check out their lamp section again. To my surprise almost all the lamps in the picture were still there including the Sylvania LU25 so I decided to buy it. Gotta love these BT25 lamps.

Same here! The BT-25s are really rare to find here now, especially still in a store and not online. I'm surprised it stayed on the shelf all those years later.

Ria, we had BT-shaped lamps in Europe, those were certainly not nearly as common as in North America.

Great find !! I love this sleeve design !! I'd guess they don't sell too many HIDs anymore .

I have a couple of these myself... a Westinghouse equivalent as well. Top-notch construction quality. I would say, of the big 3, Philips and Sylvania remained on top 'til the end. GE got too busy meddling in international lighting industries (Hungary, UK...) to focus on the quality of their US output.

Yeah, these Sylvania BT25 HPS lamps are great. It's too bad GE's quality slipped. Their fluorescent lamps were my favourite for a while, especially the older ones with the rounded endcaps.
