110V Frosted Neon Lamp

Here is an interesting one; it's a neon lamp similar to the usual beehive type but the bulb is externally frosted. It's also rated at 110V which is also unusual. There are no visible etch markings on the bulb or the cap, so when and where it was made is a mystery, hopefully someone will have an idea.
