Interesting. Do you have any red ones..? I'll swap you a red for a blue if you want..!
Sammi   [Fri 18 Apr 2025 at 17:25]
Hmm, are these supposed to make the dead people look dead.? Laughing

What exactly makes those lamps suitable specifically for mortuary lighting?

@ Ria , We can do that !

@ Sammi & Max : I have no idea ! I've seen the red necked version by the same manufacturer so I ASSUMED these are for the same application !

More likely is that I'm 100% completely WRONG !! Very Happy

@Max I have no idea either..! Someone once commented that they make dead people look alive, while clear mercury vapour lamps make living people look dead Mr. Green

@wide-lite 1000 Great, give us a call..!

A mortuary application would make sense for the red version, Ria. It's like those pinkish fluorescent tubes that were used to illuminate meat at the butcher or the supermarket. But the blue one? I'm pretty sure that's just a general purpose decorative lamp, without any specific targeted application, a sort of semi-"daylight" bulb with a warm-white indirect illumination, if the lamp is to be used base down in uplighters. Or the opposite, i.e., for warm-white direct lighting with a "daylight" indirect illumination, if used base up.
