In this shot we can see the intricate structure of a 3-phase 3-kW incandescent lamp intended for lighthouse service. The circuit configuration here is of the delta type, with each filament sections connected to two phases. V-shaped electrodes placed near the filaments, on the side opposite to the end cap, form arc catchers which prevent the total destruction of the lamp in the event of one filament failing during operation.
