SOX 35 vs PL 36
Time for a comparison! I have a modified Simplex Aries to take 36W PL-L, and a standard one running 35W SOX. By having the exact same lantern for SOX and PL, I aim to make this comparison as fair as possible.

This is the mounted setup during the night, lighting my garden. Both lanterns give a good quality light and spread. They each performed really well. I was surprised by the PL; being more suited to a cutoff lantern, it puts up a very good fight against the SOX lamp when in the same lantern!
