GE LU400/TD
This is one end of a GE double ended high pressure sodium lamp under a strong Tesla-Coil field to demonstrate the nitrogen fill gas in the outer tube. The fine feather-like discharges from the internal metal work indicates the gas pressure is not too much lower than atmospheric. Fortunately the arc tube will always strike before the outer gas due to lower breakdown voltage of the arc tube.
