Royal Ediswan 100CP Pointolite Lamp - Temporary Gear

Here is what is very much a lash-up that we put together to light our wonderful Royal Ediswan Pointolite lamp, we will be building it into a project box later. The Quick-Test supply block feeds a 65W fluorescent ballast and then goes into a bridge rectifier which supplies the lamp. The button hanging from the support above the Quick-Test is the ignition switch, this is connected to a 6V DC supply off camera and is only used when igniting the lamp.

Quite the setup there... did it work as you wanted?

It did, and it's been mounted in a project box, though that will have to be remade to sort a little earthing problem. Confused
