Philips 66W SOX-E Gear on Test/Demo Board
Here is a set of gear to run a 66W SOX-E lamp. It consists of a Philips BSX 66 H66 ballast, an SX70 ignitor and a 7.6ÂF 450V capacitor. The circuit does actually specify a 7.7µF 300V capacitor but I did not have one, however this one is still well within the circuit specification. Note from the diagram that the capacitor connects in series with the lamp and ignitor, so is essential to the circuit. The lamp plugs into the BS546 5A socket at the bottom left.
