Cell tester
This old volt meter was designed for checking the charge state of battery cells. I think it originated from the coal mining industries. The design is quite clever as being a galvanometer polarity doesn't need to be observed. The meter is also gimbaled for difficult viewing angles and back lit with a torch bulb. The probes can be changed by unscrewing them and the bulb can be replaced without opening the meter
