Neat streetlamp, and in a very clean state too! 200 W max caps the lumen rating to 2500 lm, which is really not much. I can see the appeal of using a mercury lamp instead.

Thanks! I suppose 300w lamps do fit inside but I always felt they ran too hot in such a small luminaire. The required a remote ballast for mercury lamps but there was a revised version designed for up to 125W mercury lamps that had a larger head and a internal ballast.
