My first and one of my favourite ballast. I had the smaller 45W/60W SOI/H version but over heated it with an eol lamp many years ago and have never found another.
I would have has a go at rewinding it if I'd known how hard to find these are now.

I thought that these ballasts were bullet and bomb proof, they would just keep working no matter what.

Failing SOX lamps can be tough on the ballast. Smoke started to appear from the secondary coil.
