The passing of the torch
Here we have freshly rescued an unbelievable coincidence and a remarkable part of UK lighting history! Here is an MI50 dating from April 1986; and an MI26 dating from May 1986. Not only do we now have an exact year the design changed over, we have an exact month as well! The MI26 even uses the MI50 bowl, with the rear clip point on the lantern filled in so it has to hinge forward.
One of the very last MI50s and one of the very first MI26s; it's a brilliant addition to the collection.
