Headlamp? You mean as a vehicle headlight (or work light)? Nope, there are better (specialized) lamps for that. Those low-voltage PAR lamps are usually used in applications that requires extra safety, such as the illumination of pool/pond/fountain, and of places with risk of explosion (mines, chemical plant, etc).

It says on the box, it's a mine floodlamp. We have one, must find a photo of it.

I actually have NO idea Very Happy I'm assuming it's a mine vehicle headlamp but it could be a mine work lamp . Thanks Joseph !

Definitely for floodlighting applications, i.e., to illuminate the workspace and its surrounding - not a headlamp.

It's definitely a mine floodlamp, although ours has side pins rather than a screw base, similar to the HPS ones that Eric found a few years ago.
