Royal Ediswan 150CP AC Pointolite Lamp

Here is a rather interesting light source. Although technically a discharge lamp, the light actually comes primarily from the incandescence of the two tungsten electrodes, which are in the form of small spheres. This particular lamp is designed for AC operation, whereas most of the Pointolite range were DC.

The control gear for this lamp can be seen here.

Wasn't me, had this one for nigh on 40 years, can't remember where I got it from, probably Proops in Tottenham Court Road, they had lots of amazing stuff there back in the day, so sad it closed down Sad bulb icon
