Living-room HID uplighter v.4.2
|
In the second version of my 4rd-gen living-room HID luminaire, I changed the two lamps at the extremities and applied some modifications to the luminaire. From top to bottom we now have a Philips CDM-TC Warm 70W in its own recessed reflector (this was added to solve some shadowing issues), a Philips SDW-T 35W in the center, a small Philips CDM-tm 20W/830 below it, and finally an uncapped Philips SDW-TG 50W. The latter is run with a dimmable 70 W MH ballast, and here the lamp appears particularly bluish because it operates at 46 % above nominal power. In that version of the system I took advantage of the fact that the light color of SDW lamps depends strongly on the applied power, and this way, together with other lamps, I could get a wide range of light colors.
