Living-room HID uplighter v.4.1

This picture shows the business end of the first version of my 4th-gen HID uplighter that I use to illuminate my living room. This my first system to include four discharge lamps, which are from top to bottom: CDM-TC Elite Light Boost 70W/930, SDW-T 35W, CDM-tm 20W/830, and CDM-TC Warm 70W, all made by Philips. The main modification made from the gen-3 system, apart from the different lamps, is the addition in the middle of the white sodium lamp, driven with a dimmable ballast, which enables the light color to be varied from 3200 K warm white (39 W) to 2147 K extra warm white (20 W). Such flexibility is ideal to adjust the room's atmosphere in the evening, when little light is needed. The overall results are shown here, for the room's illumination, and there, for the emitted spectra.
