EYE HR50W
Got a pair of these from eBay. These are pretty interesting as they have a diffusing coating instead of a phosphor like most reflector MV lamps. No doubt for landscape lighting where the greenish look of unfiltered MV highlights foliage. Interestingly these are rated at a slightly lower lumen output compared to the R20 version.

These have "20D" date codes on them, I'm guessing April 2020...months before EYE stopped making MV lamps.

That date code is correct.

It looks like quite a few of those nice little lamps found their way into collector's hands.

@Ria - Thanks, these are my newest MV lamps and the only two I have that are from the 2020s.

@Max - Agreed. The eBay seller I bought it from was a lighting company so maybe they are clearing out old stock.

These are really nice ! I bought 1 then bought 3 more a few weeks later . The seller still has around 190 left !

Nice, I didn't have a immediate use for these so I only bought 2.

Better buy more while it's still available as you never know how you'll used them in the future. It's usually when the listing is gone that we realize that we would have liked to get more of those rare type.

I bought about four of these... no idea where they're at as I don't recall ever opening the box... oh well, I'll find them at some point when I'm clearing out some of my unneeded stuff in the garage and shed. Very Happy

Nice, I think I would have bought more but getting my hands on another 50w MV ballast would have been hard. It took some searching before I got my hands on one 50w MV ballast.
