It's quite a nice lamp indeed. Westinghouse certainly did well with that one.

Very nice! I've seen a few indoor MV installations using 100w recessed cans, perhaps they originally used these lamps.

Probably as those Styletone lamps were specifically intended for indoors lighting, where color quality is of crucial importance.
