Nice oldie. Was this luminaire designed for phosphor-coated (MBF) mercury lamps, or for clear ones (MB)?

It was originally designed in the 1950s for MA/V lamps, and the bowl is better suited for clear tubular lamps. A newer bowl design in the 1960s has different refractors designed to perform better with the elliptical coated lamps.
