I assume this is the penning-start type of lamp, interesting to see a 350W version as most in the US are 360W. Nice lamp

Yes, these have neon present to allow starting at mains voltage. This does reduce the efficiency slightly compared to normal HPS lamps.

Nice lamp! I really like that large barium getter coating near the end cap, that's the unmistakable sign of an older sodium lamp. By the way, yours is not from 1994, the date code (2D) indicates April 1992. Also, Philips phased out the barium getter in their SON lamps in 1997 and introduced the sintered antenna to its SON-H in 2000.
