Pifco Infra-Red & Radiant Heat 'Lamp'

This was an interesting eBay find, it is a Pifco Infra-Red & Radiant Heat 'Lamp', which consists of a coiled heating element on a ceramic core, protected by a metal guard cage within a 10" diameter metal reflector. Not something that would gain approval these days..!

I believe this to be from the 1950s, but perhaps someone can narrow it down..? The original plug was damaged, so I had to replace it with a new one, but that is the only item not original to the fixture.

I remember finding something similar in my grandparent's attic . My dad wouldn't let me have it as he said they're dangerous . It got tossed out !

We will have to get it out and fire it up again, but now that we're moving into the warmer weather... Mind Blown
