Venture Designer Color MH 250W/U/ADX Here's a interesting Venture coloured MH lamp. This one is Aqua and looks a bit like a clear MV but with more blue. I've always found the coloured MH lamps were pretty neat but I suppose high power coloured and RGB LED fixtures killed these off. Interestingly they were advertised at the time as a better source of coloured light for architectural lighting compared to LED or standard MH with a external filter. Venture's range of Designer Color MH lamps included pink, green, aqua, and blue. The wattages offered varied between the colour but all colours were offered in 400w. Not come across these. We have a few BLV coloured MH lamps, will have to look for these (sigh, more space to find..!) Rolling Eyes Laughing

Interesting catch! Colored American MH lamps are far less common than their European and eastern counterparts.

Thanks! It would be interesting to get more coloured MH lamps. So far I have this and a 400w green (unbranded). It seems like Venture was the primary manufacturer of colour MH lamps for the North American market although I believe Ushio also offers coloured MH lamps here.
