Title: Which type of camera do you use to take your pictures with.?
Post by: Sammi on 18/08/2024 19:07:25
In April 2023 I bought a second hand Canon EOS 4000D complete with two zoom lenses which cover from 18mm up to 300mm, I've added a 'Nifty 50' lens and a 60mm macro lens to that as well as a set of ND1000 filters and magnifying  filters. 8)

Oh and a new tripod and a Speedlite flashgun.

Nice!

I usually use:
Sony A6400 with:
Sony 16-50mm kit lens
Sigma 30mm f1.4 prime (works great for night shots)
Sony 50mm f1.8 prime
Sony 50-210mm zoom
Tamron 18-300mm zoom (my jack of all trades lens)

I also have a Canon G7X Mk II for when I don't want to carry around a big camera and a Canon G3X for when I need more reach than I could on my Sony kit. Both of these are technically point and shoots since they have fixed lenses but are more prosumer oriented and have larger sensors than your typical consumer point and shoots.

BTW when I used a Canon EF-S body, the EF-S 24mm f2.8 was one of my favourite lenses for night shots. If you find one for cheap you might want to give that a try.
