@ AgentHalogen_87 - Thanks for that, I didn't realise it was the same lantern. It would have been wonderful if the ones back then had been SOX :lps: :posttop: :bulbman:

It is on My Gallery, and you have commented on it in the past

That must have been annoying :sadbulb:

We took delivery of the packs of bubble tubes I had ordered.! 8)
We have been looking for them for years, so they must be like buses, you wait ages for one, then three come along at once...

We'd very much like to see one, thanks  :bulbman:

It was extremely annoying, they replaced the entire housing estate in what must have been a very rapid blitz, I remember leaving for work one morning and when I returned that evening I thought I'd turned into the wrong street :sadbulb: :posttop:

Phosco P107 with the wide hat. I have a SOX version with a narrow hat, if you're interested to see one close up. :)

Hi all,

Here is an archive shot from the dreaded Goggle Streetview of a post top lantern that was once in plentiful supply in the street where my mum used to live. Not long after this 2008 image, they were all changed wholesale to what must not be named >:( :curse:

Can anyone help with identifying it, please..? I think it may be a variety of Phosco lantern, but I'm not sure :wndr:

Oh yes, that one hits the spot, I'm so glad that things between daddy and myself were sorted out before he died, as at one point we were estranged. :(

There's a lot of music that I really like...mostly from the '80s, but if I'm going to single out one, it'd have to be the "Living Years" by Mike & The Mechanics. I didn't appreciate the song when it came out (I was 16), but it took on more significance after my mom passed away at a younger than average age.

There are a few, but top of the list for me has to be 1000 kisses by the amazing Eve Selis, who I've known since she first visited the UK in 2003. She's since become a true friend to us both, and we're proud to know her

So, what's your song.?

One of mine is Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits, every time I hear it I burst into floods of tears as it reminds me of Shaun Husband, my best friend who was killed on the 7th of November 2004 by a roadside bomb in Iraq.

He was the closest person to being a brother to me. Shaun I miss you and love you.! :-*
