Oh, 1980s, under the old buildings at Schoolhill when it used to be the School of Engineering. If I remember correctly there were tunnels under the road between buildings and some storage areas down there. Pretty sure they will have been cleared out. They were full of interesting stuff including a huge reel to reel video recorder that used valves. I would have given it a home but it was huge and heavy. Also salvaged a core-memory board from a mainframe computer used on an oil platform at one point. Ah, the memories, some good toys to play with in that job.
