Philips Infraphil lamp Here is a Philips heat lamp. It has a PAR38 150W lamp with a B22d-3 cap and is used to direct concentrated heat to parts of the body. I am not certain when this was made, but the lamp itself dates from 1970. This design (model KL7500 Type 2) was only sold in the UK, other countries had versions which looked similar but did not have the chrome finish or grille over the front of the lamp. Keywords: Lamps

Why did they add a grille in front of the lamp for the UK market? PAR lamps are really hard to damage/destroy. Are you guys that violent/clumsy?

Good point, we have no idea..! It might just have been aesthetic, it does look quite good.
