First light
|
Here's another lighting project of mine, for the 2014 new-year's eve this time. I took advantage of the strongly saturated orange color of the sodium streetlights (100 W Super HPS type). I illuminated the place with a 2 kW metal halide lamp filled with sodium, thallium and indium iodides, which I under-drove to around 600-700 W so as to produce a saturated cyan colored light that contrasted very strongly with the ambient orange illumination. I also added two UHP pin spots (150 and 200 W) which produced narrow beams of bluish light that cut through the orange light pollution.
