Search![R.I.P. Thomas :-(
Here is our wonderful old [url=https://trad-lighting.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=76&pid=323#top_display_media][b]1950 GE 120V 1000W[/b][/url] lamp, who we named Thomas (after Thomas Edison, of course). He died in a tragic accident in 2018 before I was aware of the subtle differences between E39 and E40 lampholders. The glass at the neck next to the cap cracked when I exerted just a little too much force screwing him into the (E40) lampholder. I later learnt that E40 lamps will fit into E39 holders, but not the other way around :-(
We thought it fitting to display him on the shelf above our TV in the living room :-)
