A PFC capacitor has since been added, though it took a couple of attempts to get the correct value, and it's now running a lot cooler.!
Yeah, I've only heard of these being sold in Canada and Australia. I believe for the American market, Philips had a more conventional 18w SOX wallpack instead of these. They're designed in such as way to allow for both ceiling and wall mounting, and vertical or horizontal for the latter.
