Gotta love proprietary lamp designs ! Probably made by the same company who made the fixture .

Could be. I can't find the ballast in that fixture, it must be a little electronic board somewhere, as all the black box on the back has in it is the electrical connection from the feed cable
|

I wonder if it just uses a regular self ballasted CFL ballast.

Here is the lamp from the [url=https://trad-lighting.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=445][b]110V 36W work light[/b][/url]. I had not come across this design of lamp before, so I was glad to find one as well as the fitting it was used in.
