Thomas Duplex Super Safelight
This was a eBay find, it was a bit cheaper since it was missing the filter panels as well as the lamp. I have a couple of 35w SOX lamps lying around so I used one of those. As for the missing filter panels, I found a tutorial online on how to make them like the OEM ones for actual darkroom use, or I just might get a couple of pieces of glass cut to size.

For darkroom use, this is designed to hang off the ceiling and the two apertures on top will provide indirect light. Each aperture takes two filters, one on the door, which can be swung open or closed and another under the door.

That's a big one, but I do like our little 10 watter LPS Love

Yeah, I guess these were designed for larger darkrooms. I do wonder if a more compact design using a single 18w lamp might have been a better option.

I'd love to get my hands on a 10w one but those would be really hard to find in Canada, especially with a working lamp.

Great find! Cool

Thanks! I've since added some clear glass panels in place of the original filters that would have been fitted when this was a safelight.

I still might eventually remake the filters, but for display the clear glass works better.
