Thorn original HIPAK This is a Thorn DHS250 HiPak for a 250w HPS SON lamp. I always like the design of these after seeing one in a exhibition after winning a design award back in the 1970s. I've had a couple of early 400W mercury versions for years but this is a late HPS version which is slightly larger due to the addition of an ignitor and larger ballast. It has been used with some halide lamps in the past but the ignitor struggles to start some. Keywords: Lanterns
