Just spotted this conversation. I guess a bit like Max I don't really know why I got into this as it started so early. My mother had a theory it was the result of 'imprinting' when born I was placed in an incubator for a time. She reckoned the first thing I saw was a heat lamp and associated as a parent. Could be something in this as I seem to have an empathy for all things electrical

Such a brilliant illustration, I have one question though, what does a banana gun fire,,?

Major update to the book, it's now with the publishers having had the cover design finalised at great expense.!!   
It's been almost a year since we got the initial proofs back, but life just got in the way. 
We had to get a professional illustrator to do the design, but it was well worth the money.

My tinnitus was caused by me not wearing hearing protection when using the Dremel.  
Of course years of working in noisy environments didn't help.! 

In my younger days I had several ear surgeries which resulted in permanent ringing in my ears . I've been dealing with it for at least 40 years ! 

The weather outside is truly awful today, so I've got John litted, and sitting beside me for an extra bit of warmth and some wonderful light.
